Sprich mit mir!

It’s been a real joy to work on this exciting and innovative project at Theater Vorpommern. ‘Sprich mit mir!’ (Speak with me!) is an original piece which combines ‘The Telephone’ by Menotti and ‘La voix humaine’ (the human voice) by Poulenc. These pieces have been performed together often enough, but our project has actually interleaved them, turning them into a single story.

In particular, I’ve loved the intimate nature of the production - with just two singers and myself on piano/keyboard together with the drama and technical teams, we’ve been able to enjoy a close and thoughtful collaboration. The performances run through the end of the year in Stralsund, Greifswald, and Putbus.
